An evening with your Area 49 Delegate
An evening with your Area Delegate to ask any lingering questions about the Delegate’s Questionnaire background material. These sessions are open to anyone facilitating their group’s questionnaire discussion and any interested group member who would like to listen in.

Pre-Conference Assembly (hybrid)

The Pre-Conference Assembly in Area 49 is a regular Area Assembly where we also conduct our usual Area business. During this assembly, I set aside time for GSRs to share brief summaries of their group’s responses to selected items from the Delegate’s Questionnaire. This gives me the opportunity to hear directly from groups and take a clear sense of the Area’s collective conscience with me to the General Service Conference. This assembly is also the deadline for submitting physical copies of the Delegate’s Questionnaire.
All are welcome to attend the SENY Committee meetings, but voting members include GSRs, Area Officers, DCMCs, DCMs, Area Standing Committee Chairs, and Past Delegates. Alternates can vote if their primary isn’t present.

Our General Service Office (GSO)
The General Service Office serves as a hub of communication for A.A. groups in the U.S. and Canada and as an exchange point for A.A. experience accumulated over the years. GSO staff coordinate a wide array of activities and services. Also located at GSO is Alcoholics Anonymous World Services, Inc., which oversees the publication, translation and distribution of A.A. literature.

Our General Service Board
Our Service Manual states that the General Service Board (GSB) has the responsibility to oversee the two affiliate corporations, AA World Services (AAWS) and AA Grapevine (AAGV). The GSB fulfills this responsibility by separately incorporating these entities and then embedding several GSB members onto each affiliate board of directors and electing additional members to create solid working boards.

Asamblea previa a la conferencia (híbrida)
Sábado, 11 de abril de 2026
La Asamblea previa a la conferencia en el Área 49 es una Asamblea de Área regular en la que también llevamos a cabo nuestras actividades habituales del Área. Durante esta asamblea, reservo un tiempo para que los RSG compartan breves resúmenes de las respuestas de sus grupos a preguntas seleccionadas del Cuestionario para delegados. Esto me da la oportunidad de escuchar directamente a los grupos y llevarme una idea clara de la conciencia colectiva del Área a la Conferencia de Servicios Generales. Esta asamblea es también la fecha límite para presentar copias físicas del Cuestionario para delegados.
Todos son bienvenidos a asistir a las reuniones del Comité SENY, pero los miembros con derecho a voto son los RSG, los oficiales del Área, los DCMC, los DCM, los presidentes de los comités permanentes del Área y los antiguos delegados. Los suplentes pueden votar si su titular no está presente.
